This is because we have a new house!!!

When I woke up this morning, the parent staff were asleep on the big bed in my bedroom. This happens when we have friends to stay, and the friends stay in the parent staff's room.

The parent staff are not that much fun early in the morning - especially daddy. When I wake up and the parent staff are there in my room, I usually ignore them and read books to myself until they wake up.

That is what I did this morning. I got a pile of books from my bookcase, took them back to bed with me, and read them, VERY LOUDLY, over and over again.

I was telling myself the story about the bear who goes to the moon, very loudly, for the fourth or fifth time, when I was rudely interrupted by daddy ... who sat up in bed with his hair sticking out all over the place, and roared in his angry dragon voice: "Georgia, will you BE QUIET!!!"

Mummy sat up too, then, and told daddy not to be so grumpy. She said that my reading was cute, and that she had been enjoying listening to my stories. Then she lifted me onto the big bed and told me that the parent staff had something very exciting to tell me.

The parent staff started grinning then, in that cheeky way that they do, and then they said that we have got a new house, and that we were going to visit it today.

This sounded like fun! So we all got up and went to have breakfast. And while we were having breakfast, Uncle Pete and Auntie Lue appeared ... so THEY were the reason why the parent staff were sleeping in my bedroom!

Uncle Pete and Auntie Lue had breakfast with us, and then Auntie Beccy came round, and the grown-ups ran backwards and forward putting loads of stuff from our house into mummy's car, and Auntie Lue's car, and Auntie Beccy's car. The cars looked pretty messy when they had finished.

And then we all got into our cars and drove, drove, drove, to the village where we go to play sometimes. And that is where the new house is!!!

The new house is STRANGE! It is not like our usual house - it has no mess, and nothing to sit on, and no beds or toys or ANYTHING!

But it does have a big, green garden full of plants that daddy says are "weeeeds" ... What a funny word. "Weeeeds!" Ha.

The grown-ups carried all of the stuff from the cars into the new house, and then they walked around the house exploring, and whenever one of them walked past me I grinned at them and said: "Welcome to my yuvly yuvly house!"

When we had explored for long enough, we all walked through the village to the cafe and had lunch. It was a very nice lunch, and we sat outside because it was so nice and sunny.

Then we went to the playground and played on the swings and the climbing frame, and I picked "weeeeds" for the grown-ups.

After that we walked back home to the new house, and sat in the garden until it was time for Uncle Pete and Auntie Lue and Auntie Beccy to go back home again.

Me and the parent staff stayed in the new house until bedtime. Mummy says that we are not going to stay in the new house every night, because we still have to stay in our normal house for a while. But sometimes, we can come to the new house to "camp".

The parent staff set up a "camp" in my bedroom. They put my travel cot up for me to sleep in, and they hung a big blue sheet over the window instead of a curtain. Then we read my bedtime story sitting on the carpet, and the parent staff put my story CD on for me to listen to when they put me into bed.

(I have a story CD at bedtime now, after my parent staff story. This helps me to not be as cross about bedtime, and the parent staff are happy about this.)

The parent staff gave me very giddy cuddles at bedtime tonight, and asked me if I am excited to be in the new house. I am excited. I am not as giddy as the parent staff, but I am very happy to have a big garden all for me. I have never had a garden before.
Even though me and Peter Potty-face are much better friends than we used to be, I still do not like to use him when I do my poos.

Wees are fine. Wees are even funny. They made a nice tinkly sound as they go into the potty, and then they get poured away into the toilet (or behind a tree, if we are out in the park). And it is all nice and easy.

But poos? Poos are gross and stinky, and doing them where everyone can see me is just weird and wrong.

As a matter of fact, I have done quite a few poos in my potty. But that was before I realised just how wrong it was. Now I try to get out of doing potty poos, in a number of sneaky ways.

Sneaky way number one is where I store up my poo in my bottom for as long as possible, and then, when it is time for my nap, I poo it all out into my nappy. And then when the parent staff come to get me up after nap time - there it is, waiting for them! Ha ha ha.

Sneaky way number two is where I feel my poo coming, and so I tell the parent staff "I need a poo!" ... but by the time they get Peter Potty-face to my bottom, the poo has already escaped into my knickers. Ha ha ha.

Sneaky way number three is where I just do the poo in my knickers straight away, and then casually tell the parent staff that this is where it is. Sneaky way number three is not my favourite way to poo, if I'm being honest, because it tends to make the parent staff unhappy, no matter how casual I sound when I tell them what I've done. So today I came up with the sneakiest plan of all, and tried it out to see what would happen.

Today is Thursday - which means baby classes day for me and mummy. We had lots of fun, as usual, and I did really well with my climbing and my swimming. In between climbing and swimming, we had lunch time and nap time, and sadly I didn't have any poo ready to go into my nappy by the time I went for my nap.

After swimming class, though, we came home and I went to play in my playroom while mummy was making dinner ... and then I realised that I need to poo! Of course I didn't want to call for Peter Potty-face, so instead I did the poo right into my knickers. And then I thought about the parent staff being unhappy about this ... and this is when I came up with my very sneaky plan.

First, I managed to tip the poo out of my knickers onto the floor. Then I wandered into the kitchen, found mummy, and told her: "Mummy, there is a poo in my playroom."

Mummy looked at me for a little while, like she didn't know what to say. Then she asked me: "Why is there a poo in the playroom, Georgia?"

I didn't really want to answer this question, so instead I decided to tell her a bit more about the poo itself. So I said: "It is on the floor. It is small."

Mummy asked me to show her where the poo was. Then she followed me into the playroom and looked down at the poo on the floor, and for a while she didn't say anything at all. This worried me a bit because mummy does not often not say anything. I didn't know what the next part of the plan was ... so eventually I said: "I will clean up the poo."

Mummy started to speak then, to stop me from trying to clean up the poo. She said that cleaning up the poo is her job, not mine.

Well, I don't want to argue, if this is what mummy really wants ...

But then mummy finished speaking by telling me that from now on, I should try to do my poos in Peter Potty-face, and not on the floor.

I really don't know how she knew that the poo was mine, after all my sneakiness. Maybe mummy has magic powers. Or maybe my plan was just not as sneaky as I thought it was ...

Anyway, the poo got cleaned up and my bottom behaved itself for the rest of the day. At bedtime tonight the parent staff told me that tomorrow they will have an exciting surprise for me. I wonder what it will be?

Sometimes the parent staff can be even sneaker than I am. Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-85380400280039340702013-06-22T12:55:00.000-07:002013-07-29T14:02:46.045-07:00Today we have been having a treat day for daddy. This is because, a while ago, daddy had a birthday, and me and mummy bought him a treat day as a present. Sometimes grown-ups have birthdays, as well as little people - and then they get to have presents, even though their birthdays are not as important as the little people's.

For daddy's treat day, we took him to a castle, and he got to make friends with an owl. Daddy likes owls very much. In fact, daddy likes all kinds of birds ... the big ones with long beaks, who look at you like they think you would taste very nice.

When we got to the castle we were late, like we usually are, so daddy jumped out of the car and ran off to meet his owl, and mummy drove us into the car park to find somewhere for our car to rest.

I had a bit of a funny feeling in my tummy, and just as mummy got me out of the car the funnynes came right up my insides in a big cough, and I was sick all over the stones on the floor.

I do not like being sick at all ... it is a horrible, horrible feeling ... and so I started to howl, and I put my arms out for mummy to give her a big sicky hug.

Mummy picked me up and gave me a cuddle, and she took off my sicky jumper and cleaned me up with baby wipes. I stopped howling after this, and now that the sick was on the floor and not in my tummy, I did not feel so funny any more.

I was a bit unhappy about the mess on the floor, though. I pointed it out to mummy and said, "Mummy, will you clean my cough off the stones, peese?"

Mummy said that she did not need to clean the stones, because soon it would rain and the rain would clean them for us. She said that instead, we should go into the castle and clean our sicky hands.

I was not that bothered about cleaning my hands, but I did think that it might be fun to go into the castle, so I went with mummy to explore and find a bathroom.

We found a bathroom and it was the poshest bathroom EVER. It was very clean, and it had very shiny taps and big gold mirrors that were as tall as me. We washed our hands with some nice pink soap, and then we found some posh cream and put this on our hands as well, just for fun. And then mummy made me put my hands against my nose and sniff them to see what the posh cream smelled like, and she asked me what I thought of it. I told her that it was gorgeous, thank you.

When we had finished playing in the bathroom, we went back outside and saw daddy playing with his owl. I shouted "He-yo, daddy-boy!" and waved. Daddy could not wave back, because the owl was sitting on his hand, but I know that he was pleased to see me.

Then it started to rain, and me and mummy ran away into our car to hide. We sat in the car and read books until the rain stopped ... and when we got back out of the car again, it turned out that mummy was right ... the stones were nice and clean again! Rain must be magic.

Daddy came back to us soon after this, and I was starting to feel hungry so I asked if we could all go for lunch in a cafe. Mummy was not sure about this because she was worried that I might have a poorly tummy again, but in the end she said that we could go to the cafe because it was daddy's treat day, and daddy needed some cake.

I had egg on toast in the cafe and it was yummy. While we were eating our food, daddy kept asking mummy if he could get a "kess-trul" for the garden. Apparently a "kess-trul" is a bird that daddy wants to keep as a pet. Mummy kept saying no to this, but daddy kept asking anyway. He was very pestery - much more pestery than I am. I know that there is no point in pestering mummy, because mummy doesn't change her mind when you pester her. What daddy should really do is just get a kess-trul anyway, and not ask mummy if it is okay. This would mean that daddy is in trouble, and mummy will tell him off ... but it will be too late by then, because the kess-trul will already be his pet.

Sometimes I think that daddy does not know how to handle mummy at all.

We all went for a walk after we had finished our lunch, and I was happy because my tummy was not feeling funny at all any more. After the walk we went back home in our car, and played games until bedtime.

Daddy gave me a big hug at bedtime, and said thank you for his treat day. I think that daddy has had a very nice treat day. Maybe when I wake up tomorrow, he will have a kess-trul to show me. If he does, then mummy will be very cross. Heh.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-14073828760799017052013-06-15T01:04:00.000-07:002013-07-29T12:55:40.416-07:00I have stopped brawling with the parent staff about my potty now.

There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, the parent staff are very stubborn creatures, and they have not stopped pestering me to do my wees and poos in my potty, even though I made it clear that I would rather do them in my knickers.

But also, I have found that I get lots of attention for using my potty. Everyone claps and tells me how clever I am, and once or twice I have even won prizes. Yesterday I didn't wee or poo in my knickers all day long, and I won loads of stickers.

I used the stickers to decorate all kinds of things in the house and make them prettier ... the carpet, the walls, and the parent staff. Everything looks much prettier now - especially the parent staff.

I am liking my potty much better now, too. Daddy has drawn a big smiley face on it, and given it a name. It is called "Peter Potty-face". Peter Potty-face is kind and happy, and he is always very pleased with me when I do a wee or a poo in him. This is a very strange thing, but there you go.

Anyway ...

Today me and the parent staff and Peter Potty-face have come to visit Granny. This has been good because in the village where Granny lives, there is a fair on today, and the parent staff took me to the fair so that I could play games and go on the bouncy castle and the swings, and we could all eat cake together. The bouncy castle was my favourite part. I went on it for a long time, and lots of little girls who were bigger than me kept coming up and holding my hands, and trying to teach me how to bounce. Mummy says that it is nice that other little girls want to be my friends.

While I was on the bouncy castle, the parent staff sat on the grass and watched me play. Then, when they thought that it was time to go, they stood up and came to get me, and I ran away to the other end of the bouncy castle and buried my face in the wall, and laughed and laughed and laughed because they couldn't reach me.

Granny's house has also been super-good today because at the moment, Uncle Ben is staying there. I love Uncle Ben. He is very tall and very skinny, and he doesn't say much, not like other grown-ups ... I think that he is wonderful. I talk about him lots to the parent staff when he is not around ... and then when he is around, I like to stand next to him and stare up at his face and grin.

Today, after the fair, mummy took me back to Granny's house and went to make me a drink that I didn't want. Granny's house has long paths in it, and off the paths are lots of different rooms - and one of the rooms belongs to Uncle Ben. I felt that instead of drinking my drink, I would like to go and stare at Uncle Ben, so I ran away down the long path and dived into Uncle Ben's room before mummy could stop me.

Uncle Ben was playing a game on his computer, and he didn't even look at me when I came in and stood next to him, even though he knew that I was there.

Then mummy must have realised that I had escaped, because I could hear her at the other end of the path shouting "Georgia, come here please!"

I said "No!" ... but very very quietly, so that mummy wouldn't hear me ... and Uncle Ben sniggered and carried on playing his game.

Mummy called me a few more times, and every time she called me I said no ... and Uncle Ben sniggered and didn't tell mummy where I was because he is cool, and he is on my side and not mummy's.

Then mummy went quiet and I felt a bit suspicious about what she might be doing, so I peeped my head out of Uncle Ben's door and there she was, staring at me and looking not very impressed!!!

So I dived back inside and buried my head in Uncle Ben's bed and laughed, and mummy came to get me and told Uncle Ben off for hiding me away when she was looking for me.

Uncle Ben sniggered some more, and mummy took me away and made me drink my drink, and it was just as boring as I had thought it would be.

I was very sleepy at the end of today, after all of my playing and hiding and bouncing. The parent staff tell me that it is the last day of our holiday tomorrow, and that after this they will be going back to work. This is sad because I have enjoyed the holiday ... but I'm sure that I will still have lots of fun, because I am small and I don't have to go to work like the grown-ups ... ha ha ha.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-3900740811741805312013-06-11T12:51:00.000-07:002013-07-26T13:23:20.315-07:00Me and the parent staff are still having our pretend holiday, so today we have come away on a trip.

First we went to the village in the countryside, where we sometimes come to play. Daddy says that one day, when we have all grown up a bit more, we will live in this village. I hope that this is true, because I like the village. It has a good playground, and lots of green space where I can run around, and when I walk down the road people stop to say hello and tell me I am pretty.

When we got to the village today, the grandparent staff were there waiting for us. This was a nice surprise for me. The grandparent staff went to take Molly-dog for a walk, and me and the parent staff went to look at the "pree-skool". Mummy told me that one day I will go to pree-skool, so I need to find out what it is like.

Pre-skool is a place for little people like me. There are lots of toys and books, and the little people all run around together and dance and play, and have a party. It is good because there are no parent staff there at all: just nice ladies who bring you food and tell you what you are allowed to play with next.

When me and the parent staff got to pree-skool, all the other little people were sitting around a big table having a snack. I watched the snacks carefully, and I thought about how nice they looked.

Then one of the nice ladies asked me if I would like to join in, so I said "Yes peese!", and I found an empty chair to sit on, and a plate of snacks all for me! The snacks were bits of fruit and carrot and soft cheese. I ate mine all up and lots of it got onto my hands, and I kept looking up and grinning at the parent staff to show them how much I was enjoying pree-skool. The parent staff seemed pleased.

After snack time we all went outside to carry on with the party, and I found a sandpit to make a mess in. The parent staff watched me, and talked to some of the nice ladies.

The parent staff said that it was time to go not long after this, and I didn't want to leave the party but I was good and I went with them anyway. This is because the parent staff told me that we were going to play on the playground, and then we were going to find Nanmar and Der and have lunch with them ... and all of these things sounded like good ideas.

We had fun on the playground and we had a yummy lunch in the cafe, and then we got back in the car ready to go to Nanmar and Der's house. Just before we got into the car, I did a super-huge stinky poo in my nappy, and mummy had to use almost all of the baby wipes to clean it up. The parent staff had put a nappy on me today because they said that they didn't want me weeing all over the pree-skool. I am still not very fond of weeing in my potty.

By the way, not long after we had come away from our house, the silly parent staff had also realised that they had forgotten to bring my potty with us on our trip ... which meant that when we got to Nanmar and Der's house, I would just have to do my wees in my nappies like usual ... ha ha ha!

Silly parent staff.

Stupid potty.

Anyway. I had a little nap on the way to the grandparent staff's house, so when we got there I had saved up lots of energy for running round the garden and making noise.

I did lots of playing until bedtime, and then the staff all put me to bed in my travel cot, and told me that I will be able to do more playing in the morning.

It has been a very nice trip so far, and I am looking forward to whatever treats the staff want to give me tomorrow. There should be lots of treats, because there are lots of staff here to give them out!

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-59864740929274326712013-06-08T13:55:00.000-07:002013-07-18T13:19:55.686-07:00Yesterday the parent staff found a whole new way of showing me what weirdos they are.

They have taken all of my nappies away from my bottom, and now my wees and poos have nowhere to go!

The parent staff say that the wees and poos need to go in my potty now ... but I am not at all sure about this. It seems kind of gross.

To be honest, I actually like not wearing a nappy any more. This is mainly because I get to wear cool big-girl's knickers instead. Mummy took me to the big shop a few days ago, and let me choose my big-girl's knickers myself. Some of my knickers have cats on them, and some have pigs. I think that the cats and pigs like being worn on my bottom.

The bad thing about wearing the big-girl's knickers is that I keep having to wee in them. I run around and play, like normal, and quite often the parent staff ask me if I would like to do a wee in my potty. I tell them no, and think about what weirdos they are.

Then when I feel a wee coming, I wee it all out into my knickers, and then I run to mummy and shout, "I have done a weeeeee!!!"

Then mummy looks all serious, and tells me that the wee is meant to go into my potty, and not onto my cats or my pigs. She asks me if I will try to get my wee in the potty next time, and sometimes I say yes, and sometimes I say no. But really, I mean no every time.

Anyway, today we went out, and I was wearing my big-girl's knickers again. I had already done one wee in my knickers before we went out, and mummy had washed them and put some clean knickers on me. So I got to wear both cats AND pigs, before it was even lunchtime! Heh heh.

We drove out in the car to the place in the countryside where the big lake is. I like it there. The lake is pretty, and we always take a yummy picnic with us when we go to visit.

Today was a very sunny day so we had our picnic sitting on the grass, instead of in the car hiding from the rain like we usually do. Nanmar and Der arrived in their car, and came to eat our picnic with us too, which was really good.

When we had eaten all of the nice food, we went for a big walk all the way around the lake. The parent staff kept asking me if I wanted to wee in my potty. They are such weirdos that they had even brought the potty with them on the walk! They kept waving it about and showing it to me, as if that would make me want to do a wee or a poo in it. Dear me!!

Anyway, when we had got nearly all the way around the lake, I felt a funny feeling in my tummy, and it was the kind of feeling that I get just before I do a wee. So I stopped walking and looked down at my bottom, waiting for the wee to come.

And mummy must have noticed me doing this, because she quickly pulled down my shorts and my pig knickers, and plonked my bottom onto my potty in the middle of the grass! How rude!!!

I tried to escape, but mummy told me that I should sit still and wait for my wee to come out. I tried very hard to hold my wee in, but it got out after a few moments anyway. I could hear it splashing into my potty and I thought, "Yuck!" ... but mummy looked really pleased, and then she shouted to the other grown-ups to tell them that I had done my first potty wee. And then daddy and the grandparent staff clapped and told me how clever I was, and I enjoyed that.

Mummy wiped my bottom with some tissue, and then she showed me my wee in the potty, and told me that I was her clever girl.

I was pleased with this. Maybe weeing in the potty is not so weird after all.

When we had finished our walk, mummy got really excited about going on a boat, as a treat because of my first potty wee. And a little bit because she just wanted to. So she went and found a lady, and gave her some money, and the lady put big fat jackets on us all and gave daddy some sticks to move the boat with.

Then me and the parent staff and Nanmar got in a little boat and went off across the lake. Daddy used his big sticks to keep us moving. It was really cool! I sat next to mummy and held my Peppa Pig toy, because Peppa Pig wanted to know what it was like to go on a boat. After a while, I thought that Peppa Pig might also like to know what it is like to go swimming, so I threw her into the water.

Mummy jumped up and reached all the way out into the water to pull Peppa Pig back, and the boat tipped up and started to rock about A LOT!

Daddy and Nanmar started to scream and grab hold of the sides of the boat, and when me and mummy saw them do this we laughed and laughed and laughed. Mummy put Peppa Pig on the side of the boat to dry out in the sun, and she told me that I shouldn't make Peppa Pig go swimming again. She said that daddy and Nanmar couldn't cope with the excitement.

Hahaha.

When we had been all over the lake in the boat, we went back onto the grass and gave our fat coats and daddy's sticks back to the lady. Then I did a wee in my knickers while I was picking daisies, and mummy had to get me changed in the back of the car.

Then we drove home, and not long after this the parent staff gave me a kiss goodbye, and said that the grandparent staff were going to put me to bed tonight. Daddy told me that he was taking mummy out to listen to music. This was strange because we have music at home, and I don't see why the parent staff couldn't just listen to that. Weird parent staff. But at least I got to play with Nanmar and Der for the rest of the day.

We had dinner, and then Nanmar and Der gave me my shower and put me to bed. They said that the parent staff would be back home later on, and that tomorrow, I should try to do more potty wees for them. Maybe I will do more potty wees, and then I will get to go in a boat again - and everyone will tell me how clever I am. I do like that.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-22459084460171629712013-06-04T23:51:00.000-07:002013-07-14T13:32:10.841-07:00For the last few days, the parent staff have been telling me that soon, we are going to be on holiday. Then yesterday morning, when mummy got me up, she said that the holiday was finally here!

I waited and waited for holiday things to start happening (I kept looking at my suitcase and wondering why nobody was packing it), and then in the end I asked mummy if we could go on holiday now, because I was tired of waiting.

Mummy actually looking surprised, even though she has been going on and on about holidays for ages now. And then she laughed, and said that this was a different kind of holiday, where we weren't going to go away with our suitcases, and instead we would just do fun things together every day. As a family.

I feel that I have been TRICKED. I mean, yes, okay, it will be nice to have both of the parent staff here with me for a while, because sometimes they can actually be quite good fun. But it's not the same as going away to somewhere new, and getting to pack my cool suitcase up, and exploring, and having new places to play in.

Mummy seemed to honestly think that I would still have fun on the holiday, even though it is not a real holiday. She told me that today we were going to have some treats, and that I would really like them. I wasn't so sure, but I thought that I may as well go along with mummy's plans and find out what the treats were - just in case.

So we all got into mummy's car, and then we drove into town, where it is always busy with people carrying bags, and we went to the "sin-e-ma". The sin-e-ma was awesome! It had a super-huge TV, and on the TV was one of my favourite books ... only the people in it moved about and talked like real people! I got to sit in an enormous chair in between mummy and daddy, and eat a bowl full of strawberries and cream and shortbread. Like I said ... AWESOME.

When we got to the end of the giant TV book, I asked the parent staff if we could watch it again. They said no, because the sin-e-ma doesn't work like that. I bet if we had been on a real holiday, I would have been able to watch the giant moving book again.

Anyway, the parent staff said that it was time for us to go and get lunch now, and I like lunch so I decided to go with them. We went to a cafe and since it was nice and sunny, we sat outside at a table next to some grass. The grass looked exciting so I asked the parent staff if I could run around on it like a dog.

The parent staff said that I could run around if I wanted to, but that I had to stay on the grass and not go onto the path at the other side.

Of course this meant that I needed to go onto the path, and to not stay on the grass at all ... so I did. And then I waved at the parent staff from the path and laughed, and waited for them to come and chase me.

Daddy chased me first. He brought me back onto the grass and told me off ... and when he put me down I ran back onto the path and waved again. Then it was mummy's turn to chase me, and she brought me back this time, and told me off ... and I was just thinking what a great game this was, when mummy spoilt it all by telling daddy that if I ran off again, then they shouldn't chase me but should just ignore me, and wait for me to get bored instead.

It turned out that when I wasn't being chased off the path, the path actually wasn't that interesting after all. I wandered around on it for a while and I kept looking over at the parent staff to see if they were going to chase me again, but they didn't so in the end I went back onto the grass and sat down with one of my books.

After we had eaten our lunch we went back home, and after nap time we went out to the park to play on the playground and look for ducks.

At bedtime mummy asked me if I had enjoyed my first day of holiday. It turns out that I did enjoy it, even though it was not a real holiday ... so maybe mummy was right after all. The parent staff told me that we will have lots more treats over the next few days. I am having a think about what the other treats might be. It is fun to think about this.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-60856425656081948882013-05-31T12:14:00.000-07:002013-07-04T13:06:08.063-07:00I have had a lovely day of treats today.

I knew that it would be a treat day as soon as mummy asked me to bring her the picnic bag from the cupboard by the front door.

I was more excited about the picnic bag than I usually am, because today the weather was actually sunny, which meant that we would be having a nice warm picnic instead of a freeze-your-bottom-off one. I helped mummy to fill up the picnic bag with loads of yummy treats, and then we drove in our car to the park to meet Suzie and Eve.

In the park we walked around until we found the right place for our picnic, and then we sat on a blanket and ate lots. Mummy had brought me a prawn cocktail - my favourite! And we had loads of juicy bits of fruit and some sandwiches and yogurts as well ... mmm!

After we had scoffed all our picnic, we went for another walk and found a fairground, which had rides and games and a bouncy castle, and pink fluff on sticks that people were eating. The pink fluff was weird, but the rides were awesome.

Mummy and Suzie let me and Eve go on a little train that drove in a circle round a bumpy track. This was great because we got to be in the train on our own with no grown-ups, which is a very wonderful thing because normally grown-ups follow us about everywhere.

Then me and Eve went in a huge bouncy castle with a roof on it, and we ran far away to the side of the bouncy castle where the mummies couldn't reach us, and laughed at them when they told us that it was time to come back out. Ah, how funny we are!!

After this, mummy was really brave and she took us on a big ride that span round and round in circles and pulled us about all over the place. Eve didn't seem to like this ride very much, so I held her hand and told her that it was all okay. Maybe I should have said this to mummy as well, because when she got off the ride at the end her face looked a bit green, like she had just eaten a really nasty dinner. Poor mummy.

When we had been on lots of rides and had lots of fun, we went to play on the normal playground before home time. The normal playground felt a bit boring after all the cool rides, but it was still a playground, so I liked it.

Suzie and Eve went back to their own house when we got home from the park, and mummy said that we were going to put our slippers on and chill out with daddy until dinner time . She asked me to put my arm around her while she helped me put my slippers on my feet.

I wanted to say something nice to mummy, since I had enjoyed so many nice treats today, so I thought about some of the nice things that my books say. I thought about Beauty and the Beast, which is my favourite book at the moment. It is about a man who goes into the Beast's castle and steals a rose from his garden. Then the Beast gets cross and wants to eat the man all up. The man doesn't want this to happen, so he sends his daughter Beauty to get eaten up instead. The Beast decides that he would like to marry Beauty instead of eating her, and then they live happily ever after. But I don't think that Beauty was very good friends with her daddy any more after this.

Anyway. I thought about Beauty and the Beast, and I put both of my arms around mummy's neck, and then I stroked her hair, and then I said: "I yuv you - peese marry me!"

Mummy laughed so hard that she fell over onto her bottom on the floor. I wasn't quite sure why she found this so funny, but it doesn't really matter because I like making mummy laugh.

I had a nice chill-out with the parent staff until bedtime, and mummy told me that if I am a very good girl, then I might get to go to the fairground again sometime soon. I will have to remember this next time I feel a brawl with the staff starting to happen, because I would really like to go to the fairground again. The fairground is awesome.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-67182684444007500522013-05-26T13:00:00.000-07:002013-06-30T13:55:33.640-07:00I am at Nanmar and Der's house, and there are very strange things going on here at the moment.

The strange things are to do with the weather. It is not like normal weather at all. All the rain has gone, and there are no clouds in the sky. It is so warm that I haven't needed to wear my big coat or my socks and shoes. In fact, even my normal clothes are too hot for me to wear at the moment, so I have spent most of my time here being rudie!

(The parent staff love this, by the way. They keep talking about how rudie I am, and patting my bottom and laughing. What is up with these grown-ups??)

Because it's so warm outside, me and the staff have been spending most of our time in Nanmar and Der's garden. Nanmar and Der's garden is really awesome anyway, but now that it is hot it is even more awesome than usual, because there is a paddling pool in it, all for ME!

Today I have spent a lot of time lying on my tummy in my paddling pool, letting the water wash over my rudie bottom and giving my toy friends a swimming lesson. I am a very good teacher, so the toy friends are all getting quite good at swimming now. (Everyone except the bear, that is. He just sinks to the bottom of the paddling pool and sits there looking sad when I make him dive in off the side. Silly bear.)

Just before lunch time today, some friends of the parent staffs' came round to visit us in the garden. The friends own a baby of their own, and she is called Lana. She is very cute and quite funny. She does not have much hair and she doesn't say words in the staff language, but while she was in the garden she kept looking at me in my paddling pool and I know that she wanted to come and play with me. So I asked her if she wanted to get into my paddling pool, and she did, for a little while.

It is nice to have other little people to play with in times like these. Staff would not be able to play in my paddling pool because they are too big. If any of them sat in my paddling pool, there would be no room left for the water!

After the friends had played with us for a while, they went away again with baby Lana, and the parent staff put me into my travel cot for my nap. When I got up from nap time, I did more rudie swimming and running around the garden, and read some books with the staff.

At dinner time we had some special food called a bar-beek-yoo. According to mummy, this is food that we have when the weather is hot. This is why I have not had it before.

Daddy made everyone some burgers and chicken and things on a little fire, and Nanmar gave us all salad and potatoes and garlic bread. Yum yum!

I felt very happy when the parent staff put me to bed tonight, even though it was bedtime. I have decided that I would like to live with the grandparent staff forever, and that I would like it to be sunny every day. When the parent staff get me up tomorrow, I will ask them about this, and see if they will let it happen.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-68851149857046571812013-05-24T09:15:00.000-07:002013-06-16T13:18:04.047-07:00When I woke up this morning, I was at granny's house. Mummy had done that thing again last night where she puts me in the car at bedtime, instead of into my cot, and then steals me away to another place while I am sleeping.

When I get to the other place there are usually staff there who are really excited to see me, but I am too sleepy to talk to them. They have to wait until the morning time, when it is light again and I am properly awake, before I can play with them. This is sad for the staff, but that is just how it is.

This morning mummy came into my room to sing at me and be annoying, as usual, but today she wasn't quite as loud as she normally is.

In fact, mummy was much quieter than usual all morning, and she kept going on and on about how it was Auntie Al's last day at school ever, and how Auntie Al is not her little baby any more.

I was not very impressed by this, because Auntie Al has never been mummy's little baby. I am her little baby, and Auntie Al is a grown-up, and mummy should stop being so dramatic about stuff.

There is no point in saying this to mummy, though. She was being so dramatic and waily about the whole Auntie Al thing, that it took her most of the morning to realise that she had brought me to granny's house without any shoes to wear! (When she stole me last night, I was just wearing my pyjamas and slippers, and she completely forgot to pack any shoes into my cool suitcase for me. What a plonker!)

When mummy had finished wailing and discovered that my feet were totally rudie, she said that we would have to go out and buy some more shoes from a shop nearby. So we got in the car and drove to a shop, and I talked all the way there about how mummy had forgotten my shoes, and how my toes were rudie, and how it was all very sad. And then when we stopped the car, mummy had to carry me down the street so that I didn't have to walk in my socks. Ha! I do love being carried! Now that I think about it, maybe mummy should forget my shoes more often ...

Anyway, we went into a shop that sold stuff that used to belong to other people. Mummy said that this is a good place to buy things from, because all of the money that we spend on shoes and things is used to help people who are poorly. Mummy bought me some cool white shoes with flowers on them, so this means that me and mummy and my feet have all helped to make a poorly person better. I just hope that the little girl who used to wear my shoes does not decide that she wants them back, because they are mine now and I like them!!!

When we had paid for my shoes, we went for a walk and found a cafe and had lunch. Mummy bought us a prawn salad and a cake to share, and they were yummy.

Then we went back to the playground near granny's house, and mummy let me have a go on the swings and the climbing frame and the big slide. It was good fun.

When we got back to granny's house, mummy packed all of our things up into the car, because she said that it was time to drive back home now. This was probably a good thing, because Auntie Al came back home from school at around this time, and mummy started wailing again - and she really needed to get back home and pull herself together.

Back at home, me and mummy played games until daddy came in from work. Then we all had dinner together and read stories until the parent staff decided that it was my bedtime. I had my shower and story as usual, but then instead of wrapping me up in my blanket, the parent staff put my dressing gown on me and carried me back out to the car.

Mummy gave me a big bag of books to play with while we were driving along, and I read these for a while until I started to feel too sleepy to read any more ...

The next thing I knew, it was much darker and Nanmar and Der were there, grinning at me. I was leaning over mummy's shoulder and she seemed to be carrying me upstairs, up to my travel cot ...

I suspect that I have been stolen, again.

The people that we have been visiting are family, but not the kind of family that you live with. They are my Auntie Jill and Uncle Ken. Actually, mummy told me that they are daddy's Auntie Jill and Uncle Ken, but now that I am here in daddy's world, daddy has to share them with me. And because I am smaller and cuter and more fun than daddy, Auntie Jill and Uncle Ken like me better - so they are more mine than his, really. That is how these things work.

Anyway, we did not go on our visit until the afternoon time. In the morning we had friends here who had been staying with us, so we played with them until they went back to their own houses. Then me and the parent staff got in our car and drove to Auntie Jill and Uncle Ken's house, and when we got there we went inside to play. We took Auntie Beccy with us as well, so that she could join in with the playing.

Auntie Jill and Uncle Ken's house is cool. It has big rooms to run around in, and a big fluffy dog, and a super-huge garden full of trees and fun things to play with. There were also two other ladies there, who were about as grown-up as mummy and Auntie Beccy. Their names are Laura and Rachel, and they are daddy's "cuz-uns". I don't know what a "cuz-un" is, so I was not very interested in knowing this, but mummy told me it anyway.

Auntie Jill and Uncle Ken had made lunch for us all, and I got to sit around the table with the grown-ups to eat mine. The first thing I got to eat was a plate full of prawns and fish, which I was very excited about. I do love prawns!! Mummy kept asking me to eat my food with my fork, but I was so excited about the prawns that I just kept picking them up with my fingers and cramming them into my mouth before mummy could stop me. When I had eaten my own food, I looked around to see if anyone else had any prawns that I could steal.

After the prawns, we had roast dinner. Mummy gave me a little plate full of vegetables and beef, and Yorkshire puddings and gravy. I ate some of my roast dinner, but I am not very good at eating beef, so I kept chewing bits up and then spitting them back out onto my plate. This made mummy very cross, and she told me that if I didn't eat my dinner nicely, then I would have to sit still and be bored while everybody else ate theirs.

I didn't like the sound of this, so I tried to get down from my chair and escape from the table. And then mummy told me that if I didn't sit still, she would put me back into the car.

I wanted to see if mummy really would do this, so I jumped down from my chair and grinned up at her. Mummy stared at me, and I could tell that she was trying to work out what she should do next. The other grown-ups all started to laugh, because they thought that mummy would not really put me in the car on my own. But they do not know mummy like I do.

Mummy picked me up, carried me back outside to the car, and strapped me into my car seat. Then she walked off to somewhere where I couldn't see her any more, and left me to shout and wail until she came back to me. What a rat she is.

I tried to escape a couple more times during dinner, and one of the times I got taken back out to the car again ... but this time it was daddy who did it. The bit in the car was boring, but the bit where I got to wind up the parent staff was fun.

After everyone had finished their dinner, we all went outside to play in the big green garden. The grown-ups played games where they threw balls to eat other and hit them with bats, and I decided that I would spend some time putting Auntie Jill to bed while the parent staff were busy doing other things.

Auntie Jill brought me some big fluffy blankets, and I wrapped her up in them and told her to shut her eyes and go to sleep. I also got mummy and daddy to come and give her a kiss goodnight, so that she would be able to sleep properly.

It is nice to put grown-ups to bed, because they are always doing it to me. I had a go at pretending to be in bed as well, since pretending to go to bed is way more fun than actually doing it.

When I wasn't putting people to bed, I had a go on a space-hopper, which is a big fat ball that you bounce around the garden on.

After we had all played for a while, we sat down on some outside chairs and ate pudding. The pudding was yummy and full of strawberries. I was worried that mummy might not let me have any pudding because of our brawl over the roast beef earlier, but she was being kinder than usual and she let me eat a whole bowlful all by myself.

Not long after this, the parent staff decided that we needed to go home for my bedtime. I did not want to go home, especially to bed, but I said goodbye to all of the family anyway, and gave them all kisses to cheer them up. (They were very sad that I was going).

The parent staff took me home, and we had the usual brawl about bedtime, and I am sure that it is not really bedtime anyway because it is still really light outside - I can see the light even through my bedroom curtains. What I think, is that the parent staff are putting me to bed earlier and earlier every day, just to be mean ...

And then they wonder why I get cross.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-40628252612358799672013-05-12T11:28:00.000-07:002013-06-07T12:50:25.723-07:00Me and mummy have been very nice to each other today, after all of the brawling yesterday. I was very good, to make sure that mummy wouldn't stop me from having treats, and this meant that mummy was very good too, and didn't do anything mean to me.

This morning we got on a bus and went into town to have pancakes in a cafe. I love going on the bus. I can sit high up, and look down at all of the people on the ground, and feel like I am really big. I also get to sit next to mummy, which never happens when we are in the car because mummy sits in the front and she makes me sit in the back.

Mummy is a bit of a pain when we are in the car, actually. When we go on long drives, I get bored and so I ask mummy to do things for me - like read me books, pick up things that I have dropped on the floor, and take my shoes on and off. Mummy always says that she can't do these things because she is driving.

I'm not sure why this would stop mummy from turning around and reading me a book. Really I think that she is just being lazy. A few days ago we went on a long drive and I kept asking mummy to read my book to me ... and after I had asked her five or six times, mummy got really cross and said that I should stop asking her because she needed to look at the road, and if she didn't we would CRASH!

Mummy is so dramatic sometimes.

Anyway. On the bus I can get mummy to read to me as much as I like ... but I usually don't want to read, because there are lots of other interesting things to look at instead. I like to point at people who I see, and to ask mummy in a loud voice, "What's that?"

Mummy always tells me that I should say "WHO'S that?" ... and then she says in a very quiet voice: "It's a man that we don't know", or "It's a lady that we don't know."

Sometimes the man or the lady will smile at me, because I am cute.

The bus trip today was fun as usual, and the pancakes in the cafe were even more fun. Mummy let me sit on a grown-up chair and eat my pancake with a grown-up fork.

When we had come back home on the bus, I had a little nap and then mummy told me that we were going to go and play at Nic and Jackson's house.

This was the best news EVER! Nic and Jackson's house is so cool, and I always have loads of fun when we go there.

Today I discovered that Jackson sleeps in a big-boy bed now, instead of a cot. The big-boy bed is really good fun - you can stand on it and bounce up and down. I know this because we all went upstairs to see Jackson's bedroom, and I tried some bouncing while we were up there. Maybe one day soon, the parent staff will get me a big-girl bed, and I can bounce on that.

Nic made us all a nice tea after we had played, and we sat around the big table to eat it. Jackson does not like food as much as I do, so I ate lots and lots to make sure that everything got eaten.

After tea, mummy said that we had to go home because it was nearly time for bed. I was not happy about this, but I was quite tired so I decided not to start a brawl.

We kissed Nic and Jackson goodbye, and then we went home for my bath.

I had a nice cuddle and a story with mummy at bedtime, and it was good. I felt glad that we did not brawl today.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-59518551748369137182013-05-11T13:06:00.000-07:002013-05-30T13:35:26.611-07:00Today has been a me and mummy day, and mummy had plans for us to have adventures ... but sadly we ended up having a bit of a brawl instead.

Of course, mummy's adventures usually involve some kind of rainy, shivery picnic, and today was the same as usual. I helped mummy to pack the picnic by bringing her our special picnic bag, and filling it with my books and tiny toy people. Our picnic bag is cool, by the way. It has drawings of smiley people on it, all standing in the sunshine. I reckon that this is what mummy believes our picnics will be like, whenever she decides that we are going to have them ... only they are never anything like that in real life.

When the food was all packed into the picnic bag, mummy got us both into the car and we drove quite far away, to a place with a big lake, and trees all around, and a teashop full of nice cakey smells.

By the time we got to the lake place the sky had gone a dark, dark grey colour, it was freezing cold, and rain was boshing down onto the windows of our car. I felt a bit scared because I wondered if mummy was going to force me to eat picnic on a bench outside like she usually does ... but it turned out that this much rubbish weather was too much even for mummy's crazy ways.

We actually ate our picnic in the car, sitting in mummy's seat together and trying not to get too many crumbs on the floor. I wasn't actually that bothered about the crumbs to be honest, but mummy made quite a big deal about it.

When we had eaten all of our food, mummy wrapped us both up in big coats, put our wellies on our feet and our hoods up over our heads, and said that we were going to walk round the lake.

I didn't love this idea, but I was not that cold with my big coat on, and the rain had made lots of big puddles for me to jump in which meant that the walk was actually quite good fun. But the thing that really made me go along with mummy's plan was mummy saying that if I walked really nicely around the lake like a big girl, and didn't complain, then we could go into the nice teashop and eat a cake together afterwards.

Every time that my legs got bored of walking, or my hands felt cold, or I just wanted to complain, I thought about that cake and I carried on. I was really very, very wonderful during the lake walk.

And then we got to the teashop, and mummy told me how well I had done ... and that's when the brawl happened.

Mummy chose a table for us and she lifted me up onto a big chair with two of my books. Then she asked me to wait on the chair while she went to buy our cake. I didn't want to wait on the chair - I wanted to jump down and run around, and make pretty patterns on the clean floor with my muddy wellies - so I screwed up my face and started to wail.

Mummy was cross, and she told me that I must stop crying, or she would take me home again and put me on the landing, and we would have no cake. I didn't believe that she would do this: partly because I had been so wonderful on the lake walk; partly because we had come a long way in the car to get here, and the landing was very far away; and partly because I know how much mummy loves cake, and she would not want to miss out on eating some.

So I ignored her and carried on wailing ... and mummy picked me up and carried me back out of the teashop, back into the car ... and then she got into her seat and drove us all the way back home.

It was one of the saddest times I have ever had. No cake, no teashop - and one very angry mummy, who was so cross with me that she gave me one of her long, boring talks about Why We Do Not Cry Unless We Are Hurt once we got back home again. Just to show mummy that I was not impressed by her talk, I started to cry again, right into her big cross face.

Mummy put me on the landing for "time out", and told me that I would have to stay there until I stopped crying again.

When mummy brought me back from "time out" I decided that it was probably best not to cry again, because even though I wasn't going to get any cake, at least I would get to play in my playroom instead of sitting on the landing and being bored.

But when I was playing in the living room and mummy seemed to have stopped being quite so mad, I couldn't help mocking her a little bit, just for the fun of it. So I picked up my juice cup, put it on the sofa, and said to it in my best cross-mummy-voice: "Juice! Naughty juice! Go on the yanding!!"

Then I looked sideways, over to where mummy was sitting on the other sofa, and grinned my most wicked grin.

Mummy did not say anything, but I am pretty sure that she was trying not to laugh. She was a lot less cross by this time.

The brawl was pretty much over by bedtime, and mummy gave me lots of kisses and cuddles as usual when she put me into bed. But I have learnt two very important things today. The first is that when mummy says she will put me on the landing, she means it - even if the landing is far, far away. And the other thing is that mummy is so stubborn that she will do all kinds of things to stop me from winning a brawl. She will even go without cake.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-29425407350192654392013-05-05T13:41:00.000-07:002013-05-28T13:50:07.545-07:00The funniest thing happened today.

I am still at granny's house with the parent staff, and this morning the grown-ups decided that they were going to take me to a farm, to see pigs and things.

Granny made us an awesome picnic, and we drove out to the farm in mummy's car and sat in a big barn full of picnic tables. While we were eating our awesome picnic, chickens walked around our feet and asked us for bits of sandwich to eat. They were very funny.

When I had eaten my picnic, I found that there was also an amazing playground in the barn, just waiting for me to play on it. The playground was made of that soft squishy stuff that little people can fall off without hurting themselves. There were slides and a ball pond and big squashy things hanging down from the ceiling, that boshed you as you ran past them.

I ran off to play on the playground and left the grown-ups sitting boringly at their picnic table. I climbed up a big ramp and through a small opening, and then I found that if I walked along some red stepping stones, I could look down and see the grown-ups sitting at their picnic table, still being as boring as ever!

I was very excited to see the grown-ups, and I called down to them and laughed. The grown-ups looked up and waved back at me.

I wandered back across the stepping stones to explore some more, and I found a big twisty slide that I quite wanted to go down. But it looked a bit too super-huge for me to go down by myself, and I felt scared, so I peered back down at the grown-ups and wailed pathetically.

This is when the funny thing happened. Mummy jumped up onto her feet and came running up the big ramp to find me. Only instead of crawling through the opening at the top of the ramp like she was supposed to do, she carried on running and went BOSH!!! - right into a big red bar!

Mummy's head hit the red bar so hard that she went flying backwards through the air ... back down the ramp ... and then onto the floor with a BUMP!!!

It was the funniest thing that has ever happened, in the whole world, ever.

Granny obviously thought so too, because as mummy was lying there on the floor, all boshed up and crumpled like a big floppy doll, all I could hear was granny laughing and laughing and laughing.

Daddy didn't laugh (although I am sure that he wanted to). He came into the playground to check that mummy was not broken, and then he came up the ramp to help me go down the slide. Daddy did not bosh his head or fall down the ramp or anything, which was a bit disappointing for me. But then again, I don't think that granny would have coped very well if daddy had boshed himself as well. I think that she might have burst from laughing too much.

When I had finished playing on the playground, and mummy was able to walk about again, we went to see the rest of the farm. We had a walk and fed some goats, and we saw sheep and pigs and rabbits and ducks, and then the parent staff had a race on some go-karts, and I got to sit in the front of mummy's go-kart with her and race against daddy. Daddy won, but that is probably because mummy was still broken after all of the falling.

We spent a good, long time at the farm, and then we came back home to granny's house for dinner and bath time. The parent staff said that they had lots of farm muck to wash off me in the bath tonight.

I am very tired after my day at the farm, and I think that I will sleep very well tonight. I will have sweet, sweet dreams about mummy flying through the air and landing on her bottom, again and again and again ... Hahahahaha.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-32916010403045051972013-05-04T12:41:00.000-07:002013-05-21T14:04:40.694-07:00I have had a very busy day today.

It all started this morning, when the parent staff told me that we were going to have a party at our house.

The party was for Auntie Jess, because she is having a baby. This is what mummy says, anyway. But when I asked mummy where the baby is, she said that it is in Auntie Jess's tummy. What a silly thing to say! Grown-ups are weird, but they do not eat babies!!! What I think is that the parent staff just wanted to have a party, so that they could eat nice food and play silly games - and that the baby is one of those things that they have just made up, because they are silly.

Anyway. To get ready for the party, mummy took us all to the big shop to buy food, and then into town to buy balloons and packets of paper, and party plates and napkins. I tend to get very excited about town, because there is a lot going on and it makes me want to run around and make the parent staff chase me. So this is mainly what I did when we went into shops: I ran around laughing and hiding behind strangers; and when I wasn't doing this I spent some time poking things with my dribbly fingers, because mummy had told me not to.

The parent staff were pretty cross with me by the time we left, and they said that I had not been helpful at all. I didn't really care about this but I did try to be more helpful when we got back home, by decorating the house ready for the party.

Mummy said that we were going to turn the living room into an "enchanted forest", using the things that we had bought in town. She cut out loads of big leaves from green paper using her scissors (which I am not allowed to touch), and then we threw them all over the floor. Daddy hung long pieces of green and purple paper down the windows, and then he blew up many, many balloons and put more long paper on the balloons' bottoms. When he let go of the balloons, they floated all the way up to the ceiling and the paper dangled down underneath them like long green snakes. It looked really cool.

The parent staff also put a big black cloth and some fairy lights over the television, and made it look all dark and sparkly.

Then they put a box in front of the window and stood a super-big toadstool on it. The toadstool was something that me and daddy had made a few days ago using "paper-mash-ey". I didn't really know why we were making it at the time (although it was good fun getting my hands messy and trying to eat the paste), but mummy explained that it was going to be a postbox for people to put messages in for the baby. I don't really understand why a made-up baby would need messages, but never mind. The toadstool looked cool anyway. Daddy had painted it red and silver, and it had a hole in its head for the post to go into.

Mummy went into the kitchen to make food, and I came to help her by standing at her knees "scrounging", and asking for grapes and pieces of cheese.

Not long after this, people started to arrive for the party. They were all ladies and all grown-ups, except for one little person called Lara, who was a little bit bigger than me. Since all of the other party people were grown-ups, Lara was the coolest person there (except for me), and I followed her around and showed her my playroom and asked to sit next to her lots.

The grown-ups did some boring talking and then Auntie Jess arrived, and looked very surprised to see everyone there in the enchanted forest. Now that I think about it, her tummy did look a lot bigger than it usually is. I wonder what all that is about. Maybe she did eat a baby after all.

The party got much more interesting then, because mummy let us all go and eat the party food. Auntie Jess's mummy had brought food too, so there were loads of good things to eat on the table. Mummy filled a plate up with sandwiches and fruit for me, and I ate it all and then went back to the table to "scrounge" for some more.

Then awful mummy decided that it was time for me to have my nap, so she asked daddy to take me away upstairs. I didn't want to miss out on the party, or to go away from all my lovely sandwich friends and Lara, so I started to bawl loudly as daddy carried me away. I could tell that all of the other grown-ups felt sorry for me, but they didn't save me and let me stay.

When I realised that I wasn't going to escape from daddy, I settled down to have my nap, and went to sleep pretty quickly. Mummy came to wake me up again just before the party was over, so that I could play for a bit and look at all of Auntie Jess's presents.

The grown-ups started to go away again after this, until only me and the parent staff were left.

As soon as everyone else was gone, the parent staff started to run around like crazy people, packing leftover food into boxes, and throwing paper plates and leaves into the bin.

Then they started carrying things out to the car, like bags and books and my suitcase; and then we all climbed in on top of the stuff and set off on the long drive to granny's house.

Mummy said that we were going to stay at granny's because we needed to see Uncle Ben for his birthday. I sat in my seat in the back of the car, and read books all the way there.

When mummy stopped the car we were not at granny's house; we were at an eating place on a busy street that I have not been to before. The parent staff took me into the eating place and there were granny and Uncle Ben and Auntie Al, all waiting for us.

I sat with granny and read books, while Uncle Ben talked in a very loud voice and slurped drinks out of a tall glass. Auntie Al told mummy that Uncle Ben was very loud because he had been drinking his silly juice all afternoon.

We all had more yummy food, and I ate mine and then some of the parent staff's and then some of granny's as well. By the time I had eaten all of my food I was feeling tired, because it was long past my normal bedtime, so the parent staff took me away to granny's house in the car.

I had a quick shower and a story before bed, and then daddy put me into my travel cot to sleep.

I am so tired now that I don't even feel cross about it being bedtime.

What a very, very busy day!

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-61629017415716568662013-05-02T07:07:00.000-07:002013-05-16T15:28:06.557-07:00Daddy did not go to work today, which was a huge treat for him because it meant that he got to come and see me being wonderful and clever in my baby classes instead!

This was very lucky for daddy but a bit of a problem for mummy and me, because whenever daddy is at home with us we always end up being late for things. I don't know why this is. Maybe it's because whenever it's time for us to go somewhere, mummy starts flapping about like a big crazy bird and squawking for daddy to hurry up because we're going to be late ... and then daddy starts moving even more slowly than usual, just to be naughty. This is very brave of daddy because it makes squawking mummy even more angry, and it also makes us even later than we were already.

Anyway, because of daddy's lateness I nearly missed the start of my climbing class, and I had to run all the way down the path to get into the climbing room before the lesson started. I don't think anybody noticed, though, and when the class started I had a really good time showing off my skills to the parent staff.

When we got home from climbing class we had our lunch out in the yard, and then we played some games and read stories until nap time.

This afternoon I had swimming class, and I got to show off more of my brilliantness for daddy.

When we went back home after swimming, I got into a bit of a brawl with the parent staff because I'm having issues with bedtime at the moment, and the parent staff had told me that it was nearly time for bed. I started crying very loudly, to let the parent staff know how rubbish I think bedtime is, and then daddy put me on the landing for some "time out".

I stopped crying pretty much straight away because I wasn't properly crying anyway, just making lots of noise, and there's no point in making lots of noise when there's no one around to hear you. Daddy came back upstairs to talk to me and I didn't want to hear the boring things that he was about to say, so I tried to distract him before he could start speaking. As he was walking up the stairs I peered down at him and said, "He-yo daddy-boy!" very cheerfully, and then I poked my foot at his nose and said, "Oh wow, look, a foot!"

Daddy was obviously not very impressed with my foot, because he kept his stern face on and he still gave me his boring talk about not crying at bedtime ... but I think that mummy must have heard me as well, because I'm pretty sure that I could hear her giggling in the living room downstairs.

After daddy had brought me back downstairs we played a few more games until it was time for my bath, but the brawl carried on pretty much all the way up until bedtime. I was kind of hoping that if the parent staff realised how much I didn't want it to be bedtime, then maybe they wouldn't make it happen. So I cried about walking upstairs ... about taking my shoes off ... about going in the bath ... about getting out of the bath ... about being dried ... and about going to bed.

It didn't work though, because the parent staff still put me to bed, and they were very cross about all of the crying. So cross that they wouldn't even read me a bedtime story. That was the one part that I wouldn't have cried about, as well.

When they put me into my cot, both parent staff said that they hoped I would be a nicer girl at bedtime tomorrow night. Maybe if they were nicer staff, then I would be a nicer girl.

Hmph.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-10504708221518295802013-04-27T12:05:00.000-07:002013-05-13T13:15:58.060-07:00There are visitors in our house at the moment. One of them is Uncle Ben. The others are friends of the parents staffs', who come from the old and boring times they had before I was here.

Some of the friends are called Matt and Cat, and they belong to each other like mummy and daddy belong to each other. I have met them before and they are very good fun. The other friend is called Dan. I have never met him before, but he is fun too. He is smaller than a lot of other grown-ups, and he talks a lot and laughs at many things that I do. It is nice to hang out with a grown-up who understands how funny you are.

When I woke up this morning, I saw that the parent staff were sleeping on the bed in my room. This must have been because there were friends staying in their normal bedroom. Sometimes this happens when we have friends to stay.

I thought that it might be nice for the parent staff to hear some good-morning stories, so I pulled some books down into my cot and read them out in a nice, loud voice so that the parent staff could hear them.

After a few stories, mummy got out of bed to get me out of my cot, and then she took me downstairs for breakfast.

While we were eating our breakfast, Uncle Ben and Dan came into the dining room and sat down to talk to me and mummy. Mummy started feeding them muffins and yogurt, and I thought that I might like to have some of this, since all I had eaten was boring porridge. So I stood by Uncle Ben's knee, grinned up at him, and said: "He-yo Uncle Ben!"

Then I looked at his muffin and said, "He-yo muffin!"

Mummy calls this "scrounging". She says that I should not "scrounge" from visitors - but I find that visitors are the best people to "scrounge" from, because they are more likely to feed me than staff are.

Uncle Ben is a great person to "scrounge" from. He kept taking sneaky looks at mummy, and then quickly passing me bits of muffin when she wasn't looking. I reckon that I got about half a muffin through my "scrounging" from Uncle Ben ... not bad work, really.

Matt and Cat and daddy all got up soon after this, and I grabbed Cat and made her come and play with me and my animal cards in the living room. Cat loved this very much. I think it was her favourite part of the day.

When everyone had eaten their breakfasts and put their proper clothes on, we all walked down the road to the bus stop, and rode on a big bus all the way into town. Then we went to listen to some music near where the shops are.

The music was good but mummy had brought a big picnic for us, and mummy's picnics always make it rain. I sat on mummy's knee to eat my picnic, and then I ran round and round the picnic space to keep myself warm, and I let daddy chase me round so that he could stay warm too. Very kind of me, I think.

After we had finished our picnic, everyone decided that it was too cold to sit still any longer, so we all got up and went for a look around the shops. It was very busy and colourful and exciting, so I made a few attempts to escape from the parent staff and make myself some new friends. There were many pigeons, and interesting people who I didn't know, who I think would have made lovely friends for me.

The parent staff were not very happy about this, though, and they made me ride in my buggy instead of walking on my own. I was cross about this, but at least it meant that my little feet got to have a rest for a while.

When we were tired of the shops, we all got back on the bus and came back home. Back at home I had my nap, and then daddy got me up and took me to the park with the friends while mummy made dinner for us all.

Dinner time was fun because all of the friends were there to talk to me while I was eating. It is nice to have people to talk to at dinner time, and to tell you how good you are at using your fork. I showed off my fork skills by shouting "Stab!", and poking my fork into bits of chicken that were waiting in my bowl to be eaten.

I was not very happy when the parent staff told me that it was time for bed, because I wanted to stay up and play with the friends. When mummy asked me to kiss everyone goodnight, I started to cry loudly and say "No! No!" in my it's-not-fair voice.

Mummy told me that I was going to go to bed anyway, so I might as well give all of the friends a kiss before I went. So in the end I wiped a snotty, teary kiss on each of them, and then let the parent staff carry me away for my bath.

I had calmed down by the time the parent staff put me into bed - mainly because I know that there is no point arguing with the parent staff, because they are just very mean and very stubborn people. But when I am a grown-up, I am going to stay up all night long, and play games and eat cakes, and never go to bed EVER ... and the parent staff will not be able to do ANYTHING about it!

Some of them have been staff, and some of them have been other grown-ups who don't belong to me.

This morning my staff were Nanmar and Der, because mummy was at work. I had a nice morning with the grandparent staff, playing and helping them to do their shopping, and eating things in the cafe at the big shop.

Then mummy came home and Nanmar and Der went away in their car, and me and mummy sat on the doorstep like we always do, waving our hands and blowing kisses while Nanmar and Der drove away.

When Nanmar and Der's car had gone I helped mummy to do her jobs, like hoovering the carpet and getting the shopping. One of my missions at the moment is to stop riding in the trolley when we go to the big shop, and to persuade mummy that I should walk on my feet instead. So every time we get to the big shop, I ask: "Peese can I walk like a big girl?"

Sometimes mummy says yes, and sometimes she says no. If she says yes then she always spends a few minutes jabbering on about how I must walk next to the trolley, and not run away, and do everything that she tells me to do. And if she says no, then she tells me that this is because the last time she let me walk like a big girl, I didn't walk next to the trolley or do what she told me to do, and instead I ran away, laughing, and tried to escape from her.

It is sad for me that mummy has such a good memory. Every time I do something that mummy doesn't want me to do, she says: "I will remember this for next time" ... and I always hope that she will forget. She never does, though. It's a shame.

Anyway. After we had done all our jobs, and played games, and had my nap, daddy came home from work and the parent staff took me out to an "ap-oynt-ment". For the "ap-oynt-ment" we had to go and see a lady called Laura, so that the parent staff could talk to her about our house.

Laura lived in a room with a big desk and some chairs, and a small sofa that the parent staff tried to sit me on while they were talking.

I sat on the small sofa eating grapes for a while, and then I realised that all the grapes had gone and that I was bored, and that the parent staff weren't paying any attention to me and that this was rude.

So I got down from the sofa and started trying to climb up mummy, and asking her to read to me. Mummy gave me some books to read but I did not want to read them by myself, so I put my hands on mummy's face and turned it towards me and said: "Mummy, peese stop talking to Yaura, talk to me now peese."

Mummy sat me on her knee and said that she was talking, and that I must not be rude; and I was wondering how I could get my own way without doing something that would get me into lots of trouble ... and then a wonderful thing happened, and I realised that I could win this argument without making the parent staff cross at all!! ... As I was sitting on mummy's knee, I felt a sneaky poo creeping into my nappy! So I got hold of mummy's face again, turned it towards me, and said very clearly: "I have done a big sloppy poo!"

Mummy and daddy's faces both went very pink, and Laura looked confused and asked them what I had said.

Daddy looked at mummy and then said in a very embarrassed voice: "She says that she's done a big sloppy poo."

After that, mummy had to take me into the toilet to get me cleaned up, and my poo was so VERY big, and VERY sloppy, that by the time mummy was finished with it daddy had done all the talking to Laura and it was time for us to go home again. Hurray!

When we got home, I only had time for a little bit of playing before the parent staff made me have my bath and get ready for bed.

I did not want to go to bed, especially since I had lost lots of my playing time by being at the "ap-oynt-ment" with Laura; but the parent staff did not care about this.

Oh well. Tomorrow I have a whole day with mummy, doing my baby classes. Those days are always good fun.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-51024990502914989172013-04-20T08:00:00.000-07:002013-04-30T14:36:24.906-07:00Today I have been on an adventure with the parent staff, because we all needed a treat.

This morning we all got washed and dressed, and then we climbed into mummy's car and drove to the countryside, where there are trees and flowers and farm animals in fields.

I like the countryside, but whenever we go there the parent staff seem to think that it would be really great for me to do lots of walking ... and I never agree with this. Walking is boring, and I do not want to do it unless it's for a very good reason (for example, to run away from staff, or to follow Harvey about).

So we went for a little walk, and I trailed behind the parent staff and picked up stones from the sides of the road, and made them my treasure. Sometimes, to punish the parent staff and to show them what a bad idea it was for them to make me walk instead of carrying me, I would wander a little way out into the road and give them my "what-are-you-going-to-do-about-it?" look. But this didn't work so well because the roads in the countryside are not like the roads at home (there are hardly any cars on them), so the parent staff did not panic and squeal and scoop me up into their arms like they usually do. They just stood and waited for me to catch up ... which I did, eventually, because standing in the road doing nothing gets boring after a while.

After a lot of walking we came to a cafe, and then things got much better because not only did I get to stop walking, but I was also allowed to go into the cafe for lunch! The parent staff let me ask the cafe lady for yummy food and milkshake, and we all ate lunch together at a little table by the window. It was good.

When we had eaten our lunch, we went back outside and the parent staff took me to play on the playground, and in a big field full of daisies. I picked some daisies for mummy, and then I asked the parent staff: "Please can I run around like a dog?"

Mummy said that it is very strange how I never have enough energy to walk anywhere, but that I am never too tired to run around like a dog. She did not mind me running around, though, because she thinks that it is good for me. And also, she finds it funny.

After I had picked daisies and played on the playground and run around like a dog for long enough, we all walked back to our car and drove home for dinner.

I was feeling very excited at dinner time and afterwards, because it was an adventure day and I wanted to carry on playing ... so I bounced about from room to room and made a lot of noise. I found a sheet of stickers that the parent staff had given me a few days ago, and I started sticking them to things around the house. The stickers are meant to be "rewards" for when I have done good things. They have smiley faces and words on them. Mummy says that the words say "well done" and "excellent work".

When the parent staff were getting me ready for my bath and I was all rudie, I decided that it would be good to give my bottom some "rewards". So I stuck stickers all over my rudie bottom, and then I ran over to mummy, pointed my bottom in her face, and shouted: "What you sink of zat?!"

The parent staff laughed and laughed, and told me that I was very special. I felt very pleased with myself.

When the parent staff put me into bed tonight, they asked me if I have enjoyed my adventure day with them. I told them "yes" ... because it is true.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-64837673421687488372013-04-16T13:01:00.000-07:002013-04-26T07:02:27.667-07:00A few days ago, mummy came home from the shops with a card in a white envelope. She told me that the card is for two of the parent's staffs' friends, who are getting "married". (This means that they will have a day where they both get dressed up in pretty clothes, and then they will go home and live happily ever after, like Beauty and the Beast.) Ever since this day, the card has been standing on the little table inside our front door, waiting to be delivered to the friends.

And the more the card waits there, the more I realise that I want it, and that I NEED TO GET AT IT!!!!!

I'm not quite sure why this is. Maybe it is because cards are fun, as they come at the same time as birthdays and Christmas ... and sometimes money falls out of them and I get to put it in my piggy bank. Maybe it is because the friends have still not taken the card away, which kind of says to me that they must not really want it that much anyway. Or maybe it is just because I know that it is not for me, so this makes me want it MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD!!!!!

Anyway, because of my need to get at the card, I have had several missions to make it mine ... but none of them have worked so far. Each time I start on a mission, I manage to get hold of the card for a little bit longer than the time before, and to tear a tiny bit more of the envelope ... but not enough to get at the card inside - just enough to make mummy cross with me.

I felt that today would bring me my best chance to complete my mission so far, because daddy was looking after me ... which usually means that I get more chances to do cheeky things.

So while daddy was in the kitchen making lunch, I wandered out to the hallway, reached up high, and pulled the card down from the table. Then, because I just couldn't resist being as cheeky as I possibly could, I carried it back into the kitchen and sat down to open it on the floor near daddy's feet ... to see how long it would take him to work out what I was doing.

I had just managed my biggest envelope rip yet, when daddy looked down, saw what I was up to, and snapped: "Georgia, give me that!"

I looked back up at him, smiled politely, and said: "No."

A big frown appeared on daddy's face and his voice got louder, and again he asked me to hand over my treasure. And again I told him no.

Daddy stretched out his hand, put on his really mad face, and shouted: "GIVE ME THAT CARD, NOW!!!"

Daddy likes to think that he is scary, but he is not at all. He is actually very soft and cuddly. However, when he puts his "scary" voice on, I find that it is safest to do what he says, in case he gets into a sulk and tells tales about me to mummy later on.

So I stood up, put the card down on the dining table, and said cheerfully, "Okey-dokey!" ... and then I wandered off.

It's a shame that daddy was being more observant than usual today, and that he spoiled my mission, but next time I get the card I will be a bit more sneaky when it comes to opening it.

When mummy came home from work tonight, her magic mummy eyes spotted the big rip in the envelope almost as soon as she came through the door. I really don't know how she does that. She asked daddy about the rip while I was eating my dinner, and when he told her the story about my mission, she laughed. And then she told me to leave the card alone from now on.

Which I'm not going to do, but of course I didn't tell her that.

When I was having my bath tonight, the parent staff were bickering about which of them I am going to be more like when I get big. After a while daddy asked me: "Georgie, who do you want to be more like when you grow up: me or mummy?"

I didn't have to think hard about my answer. I told daddy straight away who I most want to be like when I am big: "Fireman Sam."

Mummy and daddy gave each other the same parent staff look, and then they turned away to hide their giggles.

I don't know why they thought that this was funny. I do want to be like Fireman Sam. He is way more fun than the parent staff. And I bet he would let me have the happily ever after card if I wanted it, and not spoil my missions like they do.

I had a nice cuddle with the parent staff at bedtime, so they would not realise that I am plotting to disobey them, and steal the card again tomorrow.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-37006117309982691802013-04-13T11:26:00.000-07:002013-04-24T07:59:02.784-07:00I have had a very busy day with mummy today.

This morning, after I had got up and had my breakfast, mummy decided that we were going to go back to bed for some "slobbing". So we kept our pyjamas on, climbed up into mummy's bed, and slobbed about with books for a while.

Mummy read me a few animal stories, and then I climbed up onto her tummy and lay there, sucking my thumb. Mummy was being very soft and warm and well-behaved, for once, and I suddenly felt very fond of her ... so I put up my hand, patted her cheek, and said: "My yickle baby."

Mummy laughed and laughed at this, and her big squishy tummy started to wobble with laughs, so I started laughing too.

We laughed for a long time, and then mummy said that we had done enough slobbing, and that we should get up and get dressed now.

While we were getting dressed, mummy kept telling me that it was going to be a nice day today, and that we were going to go for a picnic with our friend Jess.

I was not very sure about this, because whenever mummy thinks that it is going to be a nice day, she is usually wrong ... However, the picnic stuff looked good, so I wandered about bringing mummy bags and boxes to pack the food into while she made sandwiches in the kitchen.

By the time that Jess arrived at our house, all of the sun had gone from the sky, and rain was starting to run down the windows. Mummy was very cross, and she started having one of her long rants and talking about the "weather man" again. Mummy does not like the "weather man". I'm not quite sure why this is, but I think it is because the "weather man" makes it rain, and then tricks mummy into thinking that the sun will shine. But if this is true, then mummy is stupid for believing him, because rain happens all the time.

After she had finished ranting, mummy decided that we should still eat our picnic, but that we should have a "carpet picnic" instead of a park picnic. So she put our blanket and our picnic bag down on the living room carpet, and we all sat on it and ate our sandwiches and fruit and things. The food was still very tasty, even if we didn't have any sun to go with it.

When we had finished our picnic, we played games with my animal cards, and another game where I had to throw my orange ball into the rubbish bin. I was very good at this.

Later on I went for a nap, and mummy stayed up talking to Jess without me (mean). When mummy got me up again after nap time, Jess helped to get me dressed into my pretty dress, because mummy said that I was going out for dinner. I hoped that Jess might be coming with us to the dinner place, but she wasn't ... in fact she left soon after I was dressed, and got in her car to drive back to her own house.

After Jess had gone, Auntie Beccy knocked on our front door, and she had Karl with her. Karl is Auntie Beccy's boyfriend. Boyfriends are those bad people that daddy is always telling me to stay away from ... but since daddy was away at work, and not there to see what I was doing, I could speak to Karl without daddy being cross.

Me and mummy and Auntie Beccy and Karl all got into mummy's car and went to a nice place for our dinner. Mummy ordered me a sausage wrapped up in some bread, and when it arrived I picked the sausage out of the bread and ate it on its own. Mummy said that I was "gross", and then she tried to get me to eat some bits of lettuce and tomato. I didn't eat much lettuce, but it was all okay because I did eat half of mummy's cherry pie that she had for pudding, and half of Auntie Beccy's ice cream in a tall glass ... so I was nice and full after dinner anyway.

When we had all finished our food, we went back home in mummy's car, and I played the orange ball game with Karl until mummy was ready to put me in the bath.

I have had a very nice day with mummy, in spite of the "weather man". Mummy says that we will try again tomorrow to have a picnic in the park ... so I hope that the "weather man" behaves himself, and lets us have some sun.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-61570704931212676552013-04-11T11:40:00.000-07:002013-04-21T05:32:30.794-07:00Today has been all about picnics, fun and games with mummy, and carpet wee.

This morning mummy decided that we were going to go for a picnic in the park. Mummy does this whenever there is the teeniest, tiniest speck of sunshine in the sky. She gets really excited, bundles some food, me, and anyone else who is around (and who is not sensible enough to argue with her) into her car ... and then drives us all to somewhere freezing where she makes us eat food on a blanket outside.

While we eat our food, we huddle up in our coats and our wellybobs, and our hands shake and our teeth chatter on our sandwiches.

Bits of rubbish like the wrappers from our food blow away in the wind, and we all run around trying to catch them before they can completely escape. (This bit with the rubbish happens so often that mummy has actually made it into a game. Whenever a bit of plastic bag starts to blow away, mummy will lift me up onto my feet and shout: "Stand on it! STAND ON IT!!!" ... and then she laughs like a crazy person while I run around trying to trap the escaping bag under my feet.)

Today it was just me and mummy at the picnic, and we sat on a bench that was so cold I couldn't feel my bottom any more after a while, even through my nappy ... But at least it wasn't raining, this time. The park was actually really nice and the picnic food was GOOD. Mummy had brought along a prawn cocktail for me to enjoy all on my own ... mmm!!! I LOVE prawn cocktail.

When we had eaten our picnic we wandered around the park and explored, and I picked a flower to take home for daddy. I held the flower very tightly in my hand to keep it safe while I was walking about, and I talked to it as well. I said: "Come on, flower, stay still, flower. You are for daddy-boy." Mummy stroked my hair and told me that I was cute, which is true.

Just as we were about to leave the park, mummy spotted a man who had four donkeys with him. The donkeys were giving rides to children like me. Mummy got very excited about this and she asked me if I would like a donkey ride as well. She was so excited that I forgot how donkeys usually scare me a little bit, and I said "Yes peese!" ... so mummy paid the man some money and lifted me onto the donkey's back.

The man took us for a very little walk, and I felt like I was very high up. My donkey was called Charlie and he was very nice. He didn't try to eat me or anything.

When the ride finished, mummy lifted me down onto the ground, and I didn't want to get off so I asked: "Peese can I have another ride on Charlie?"

Mummy said that I couldn't, because the ride was over now, so I started to wail. I felt very disappointed and I realised that my tantrummy feeling was starting to build up in my tummy. Mummy must have realised this too, because she took hold of my hands and started to speak to me in her very serious voice (but quietly, because her very serious voice is always more quiet than usual when there are strangers like the donkey man around us).

Mummy said that having a ride on Charlie was a treat, and that I should not cry when I have a treat. Otherwise, she said, people would not let me have treats any more. This would be sad for me, because I enjoy treats.

Mummy also said that it was someone else's turn to have a ride on Charlie now, so she asked me to say goodbye and thank you to Charlie before we went away.

I did say goodbye to Charlie, and then I held mummy's hand and walked away with her, even though I wanted to stay and play. I hoped that mummy would remember this later on, and let me have more treats for being such a good girl.

Maybe treats that taste like cake.

When me and mummy got back home I went for my nap, and when I got up, I asked mummy if I could wear my new knickers.

Knickers are what big girls wear on their bottoms instead of nappies. A few days ago, when me and mummy were in the big shop, we bought some new knickers all for me, and mummy let me choose them myself.

My knickers are pink and they have cats on them. I am not a big enough girl yet to wear knickers instead of my nappy, but I still like them very much, and sometimes I like to take them out of their packet and look at them.

Anyway. Mummy said that I could wear my knickers if I wanted to, but that I would have to remember that I wasn't wearing a nappy, and that my wees would need to go into my potty.

I did not want to wee in my potty. Sometimes I sit on my potty and read my books (I have started to do this a bit lately), but I wouldn't want to put my wees in there. That would be weird. So when mummy asked me if I would sit on my potty if I needed to wee, I said "no", very honestly. Mummy let me wear my knickers anyway, and we stayed upstairs playing hide and seek so that the potty was nearby.

First I hid, and mummy came to look for me. Then mummy asked me if I wanted to wee in my potty, and I said no. Then mummy hid, and I stood by the wardrobe and counted to ten.

Only I didn't get to ten, because as I was counting, I felt a little wee needing to come out, so what I actually said was: "One ... two ... three ...oooh!!!"

Mummy stuck her head out from behind my cot, where she had been hiding, just in time to see me weeing all over the carpet. Whoopsie. I did tell mummy that I wasn't going to wee in my potty, though.

Mummy said, "Never mind!", and she changed my clothes and cleaned my bottom up. Which meant no more knickers - boo - because they had to go in the wash. But that's okay. I will wear them again when they come back out of the wash, and maybe I will not wee in them next time. Maybe.

Me and mummy played more games (I had my nappy on this time) until dinner time. Daddy did not come home at dinner time, because he was still at work, and he wasn't home by my bedtime either. Mummy said that I will not see him much for the next day or two, because he is working lots. I have left daddy's flower on the dining table for him, with a little note that mummy helped me to write. I hope that this cheers him up when he gets home ... because it must be very sad for him, working lots and not being able to see me. I am his favourite person.
It was my friend Eve, who had come to visit us for the day!!!

Eve was already dressed and looking very awake, even though it was only just getting up time for me. She hung around while mummy got me up and changed my nappy, which was a bit weird because I don't normally have other babies watching while mummy deals with my wee ... but hey ho.

Then we all went downstairs for breakfast, and Eve sat in my highchair so I got to sit at the table like a grown-up girl, which was fun.

After breakfast mummy said that we had to go upstairs to get me washed and dressed.

Now, I am having issues with stairs at the moment. I do not like to climb them; it feels like a whole lot of effort that I can't really be bothered with. Whenever I get to the bottom of the stairs and mummy tells me to climb up, I cling to her legs and say "Carry me, carry me!"

Mummy does not often carry me because of her meanness, but some of the easier-to-persuade grown-ups (Nan-mar and Der) will sometimes pick me up.

It seems that Eve does not have stairs issues, however. Eve loves to climb, so she started off up the stairs very fast when mummy told us that this is where we were going. I stood at the bottom and looked at Eve pathetically, and when she saw me she put her hand out and said: "Come on, Georgie!" - and then she pulled me up the stairs with her. (What this tells me is that Eve loves me more than my mummy does. How sad it that?)

Mummy told me that I am very lazy, and that Eve should not have to pull me up the stairs because I can climb them by myself. But she was laughing a bit as well, so really she was probably just glad that she didn't have to carry me herself.

When I was washed and dressed, we went downstairs to play in my playroom. Mummy opened the doors that go out into the yard, and then she went outside and set up my slide and my sandpit and some toys and blankets. This was really cool because it meant that we had a whole big playroom to play in, and half of it was inside and half of it was outside. Me and Eve had lots of fun trailing sand through the house and into the carpet for mummy to clean up later - haha.

When we weren't playing with our toys, we made mummy read us some books, and we made pictures using my sticker book. Mummy asked Eve if she wanted to make a picture for her mummy, and Eve said yes, and then stuck stickers all over her own tummy. This was such a cool idea - I wish I had thought of it.

Mummy made us all scrambled egg on toast for lunch, and after lunch she took us upstairs for nap time. She had set up the travel cot in my room for Eve to sleep in, and it had one of my blankets and Eve's toy giraffe in it.

Mummy gave us both a kiss and put us into our cots, and then she went away again.

After she had gone, I realised how much Eve TALKS. I am not a big fan of nap time, but once I am in bed I usually find that I am actually tired enough to go to sleep, whether I want to or not. But Eve didn't seem tired at all. Instead of sleeping, she sat up in her cot and talked and sang, and made strange noises without ever stopping.

In the end, mummy came in to get us back up again, since we weren't sleeping anyway, and when she came in she had Eve's mummy Suzie with her. The mummies got us up and took us back downstairs to play, and we went back into the yard to make a mess with the sand.

While we were playing, Aoibheann came round and brought her mummy with her too, so then we had loads of people to play with! It was a really good afternoon. By the time my friends had to go home, most of the sandpit was on the floor of the yard, and in our kitchen.

When everybody left to go back to their own houses, I stood at the door with mummy and waved goodbye ... but I wished that they could have stayed with us and lived in our house instead of going home.

Mummy made my dinner, and after dinner I had to have a long bath so that mummy could get all the sand off my face and out of my hair.

I will be seeing more of my baby friends tomorrow, according to mummy, so that is good. It is nice to have friends to play with, as well as staff.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-65305126404443537822013-04-05T12:59:00.000-07:002013-04-14T12:58:06.519-07:00Today has been an awesome day. Eve has had a birthday party, because she is two like me now, and she invited me to go to her party because she loves me very much.

The party happened at Eve's house this afternoon. It was right in the middle of the time when the parent staff usually make me have my nap: which meant no nap for me at all today ... hurray!!!

Instead of napping, I got to play in Eve's house with all of my baby friends, and all of Eve's toys, and to eat loads of yummy food that I wouldn't normally get. Soooooo much better than napping!

When I arrived at Eve's house with the parent staff, the first thing I saw was a big table covered with yummy party food. I really wanted to jump on the table and start eating everything I could see, but I was really good and I waited until mummy had sat down in the living room before I said to her: "Mummy, I need some food peese."

Mummy told me that I did not need food right now, and that I should wait for a bit. So I did wait for a bit (a very little bit), and then I asked again. Mummy gave me the same answer ... and when I asked her again, another time after this, she put on a more stern voice and told me that we could not have any food until other people had started eating.

I wandered away for a little bit and thought about this, and a cunning plan started to come into my head. When I looked over at mummy I saw that she was talking to Eve's grandma, so I went back to her and this time I asked: "Mummy, peese can we help the yay-dee?"

Mummy looked confused and asked, "What lady, sweetheart?"

I pointed at Eve's grandma and answered, "This yay-dee."

Mummy looked even more confused. She smiled at Eve's grandma in a surprised way and said, "Help the lady to do what?"

I grinned back at her and said, "Help the yay-dee get some food!"

Mummy looked shocked at this, but luckily Eve's grandma turned out to be a much kinder lady than mummy is because she said "Aww!", and she picked me up and carried me over to the big table to get as much food as I wanted.

It is sad when other people's families care more about you starving than your own parent staff do.

Eve's grandma helped me to pile loads of yummy party food onto a big plate, and then I sat on mummy's knee and ate it ALL. Yum yum.

Then I went to sit on daddy's knee, and I stole some food off his plate ... and then I went back to mummy and did the same thing to her.

And then I wandered around the room, looking for other people whose plates looked too full, and I helped them out by taking bits of food off their plates and eating them myself. Heh.

When it was time to go home from the party, the parent staff took me to the park for a while to run around in the sun, and then we went back to our house and had dinner. Only I didn't really have a proper dinner, because I was too full of party food ... I just had a yogurt and some fruit instead.

Mummy said that I had eaten so much today that I would sink in the bath ... but I didn't, so ha! Mummy is not always right about everything!

The parent staff had friends round to play tonight before I went to bed, so I had a lot of people to say goodnight to. I am very worn out now from seeing so many people today. It has been a good day, but I think it will be nice if tomorrow is quieter, with not as many people for me to entertain.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581333342185649038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3171729957047534020.post-18104990675007334572013-03-30T06:18:00.000-07:002013-04-12T12:59:45.019-07:00Mummy is not at home with me at the moment. She has gone to visit Granny and Auntie Al, and she has left me to take care of daddy by myself.

This is a difficult job because sometimes daddy can be quite hard work. He often does not pay attention to what I'm doing, and sometimes I have to do naughty things just to see if he is watching.

(Okay, this is not entirely true. Sometimes I do the naughty things because it is funny, and because I know that I can get away with it ... but this really serves daddy right for not watching me properly.)

Normally I am not on my own with daddy for a very long time, so the naughty things that I do are only small ... like the time that I varnished the living room carpet while daddy was sitting on the sofa eating a sandwich ... or the time that I ate the soil out of the plant pot in my bedroom while daddy was sitting on the bed daydreaming. But this time mummy has been gone for a whole day, so I have had daddy all to myself for all that time. Plenty of time to do naughty things!!!

This morning we went to the beach, to make sandcastles and have a picnic. I let daddy make me a big sandcastle using my pink bucket and spade, and he loved it.

Then we paddled in the sea, and daddy got his shoes wet because he had been silly and not brought any wellybobs with him.

We had a nice picnic on the beach before we came back home. Then I had my nap in my cot, and daddy got me up later on to go to the park with him and Auntie Beccy.

In the park we threw bread at the ducks, and then went to the playground to play on the swings and the roundabout. It was fun.

After this we went home for my dinner and bath, and then we called mummy on daddy's phone so that I could say goodnight to her. Mummy said that she will be back with me tomorrow, and that she loves me very much. I hope this means that when she comes home she will bring lots of presents for me, to say sorry for going away without me.

I have had a very nice day with daddy, though. He has been a very good boy and we have had lots of fun together. He has been so good that I haven't even had a chance to do any naughty things ... which is a bit of a shame actually, but never mind.

I would not mind if mummy left me to look after daddy again sometime ... I think I am very good at keeping daddy entertained.
